I believe every person is capable of growth and change.

clients who are curious and ready to learn more about themselves and the world they have lived in.
clients that have painful experiences that negatively impacted their daily living and soul.
clients who want to live a meaningful life but have yet to know how.
Clients who love the idea of challenging themselves, learning new tools and creating their own path.

I started my career when I was a Corpsman in the Navy. I had no idea that I would end up as a therapist over twenty years later but it helped me, not only with my psych nursing career in the Navy, but also as a therapist and social worker. I understand what it means to be in the military and provide this support and knowledge as a therapist to retired and active duty military. I believe having this background enables trust from my client’s perspective because they know I understand the system and will work with it for my client’s benefit.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in Secondary Education but realized quickly that I was not going to be a teacher. I believed there was something different for me to do and quickly started working for a public mental health provider in Arizona. I enrolled at ASU’s Master Social Worker program and found myself with my MSW a career in mental health and never looked back.
It’s been over a decade since earning my master’s degree and have since been working with several groups including the homeless, various community agencies, hospice, as well as mental health programs. I have been a therapist for a good amount of my career and work closely with active duty and retired veterans, suicidal clients, persons having acute mental health problems and crises as well day to day stressors that embattle the most put together person.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with it’s original home being in California. I since have obtained additional state licenses including Ohio and Virginia. I appreciate the freedom to work with clients who are ready to commit to a new healthier life.
I would describe myself as down to earth, easy going, dedicated, honest and will go the mile as long as my client is right there with me. I work hard for my clients.
I understand that this is a process, my experience has proven this and I will be there every step of the way.
