How We Work
At the core of our approach to therapy is a belief that you have the power to change your story.
We empower you to look into yourself and find the patterns that hold you back from living the life you deserve.
We named our practice Reframe You because it’s so easy to fall prey to the negative thinking patterns that affect us all. It is so easy to submit to the negative thoughts and believe what our situation, at that time, is the problem, but trully it is what we make. Reframing is a tool used in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that benefits us all and when used consistently can really change how we feel and see ourselves.
At Reframe You we meet you where you are. We take the time to get to know you and discover together what you wish for yourself and your life.
We are non judgemental, compassionate and supportive. And encourage you to feel safe in sharing your story with us.
Healing takes time and sometimes it’s a lifelong process, but doing it alone does not have to be your fate. We encourage you to reach out and talk to us, we are here to rally behind you and help you appreciate your hard work and success.
Who We Are
We are two therapists who have worked hard and have seen so much. We see how a person has control over their lives but have no control over their thoughts.
We know how difficult it is to turn off scary negative thoughts. We are not immune to anxiety, depression, or Maternal Mental Health issues.
We as therapists are people and empathize with our clients. We have our stories, and our journeys as well and we wouldn’t be where we are now if we had not experineced the trials of life and the pain that comes from it.
We have lost loved ones, struggled in work and school, struggled with infertility, experienced the oppression from the pandemic and losing our connections to the world during that time. We are parents and know how bittersweet it is to have that child, love on them and also fear losing them. We know all about those really terrible rabbit hole intrusive thoughts, and they are awful. We are those therapists that get it, and are honest about it and are right there with you.
Living is not easy, we have to fight for it every day, and we know the process is long and hard but as we persevere we feel the breath of happiness and acceptance. Hard work, patience, positive self talk, connections to people, talking about what is wrong, asking for help all pays off and we know it’s never too late.
We are here to fight with our clients as we too know how hard it can be to fight for our own lives. We are realistic, caring, compassionate and fun. We are real people with flaws and imperfections, we love our animals, our family and we love what we do.
HEre’s what we believe about therapy:
This isn't about becoming someone "different."
Therapy is about learning to be the person you are meant to be. To be free from negative thoughts, and embrace your strengths.
The best investment you can make is in yourself.
Your mental health is just as important as your physical health.
You are inherently deserving of healthy, loving relationships.
You deserve a life full of color, happiness, and freedom from the restraints of anxiety and depression.
Get the support that’s right for you.
